Sassy Go Go Plot Summary
Sassy Go Go follows Kang Yeon-doo, a popular and energetic student who leads her school’s dance club, and Kim Yeol, an academically top-ranking student.
When the school administration decides to merge Yeon-doo’s struggling dance club with a group of elite students to form a cheerleading squad, tensions arise.
Despite differences in social status and academic achievement, the members must work together to save their respective clubs.

Does Sassy Go Go Have A Happy Ending?
Yes, Sassy Go Go has a happy ending.
Yeol and Yeon-doo are dating, Ha-joon is freed from his abusive father, and although they don’t win, the cheerleading team rallies and performs at the competition despite being dismantled by the Ministry. After competing, the team disbands but Baek Ho and Real King remain close friends in their senior year.

What Happened to Yeon-doo?
After the team is disbanded by the ministry and Baek Ho and Real King are reinstated days before the regional competition, Yeon-doo is deflated. She is also concerned about Ha-joon who is absent from school after quitting the cheerleading team.
After encouragement from Soo-ah, Yeon-doo rallies the team to participate in the regional competition. Yeon-doo tells her teammates she wants to compete with all of them and that she will wait for them at the venue but whether they come or not is their choice. She also tells the team not to hold it against anyone who chooses not to attend the competition.
Before the competition, Yeon-doo helps Yeol rescue Ha-joon who is locked in his room by his abusive father.

What Happened to Yeol?
In the final episode of Sassy Go Go, Yeol confronts Ha-joon about his decision to quit cheerleading and his feelings for Yeon-doo. He feels upset by Ha-joon’s decision to leave the team and how he’s pulling away from Yeol.
Later, Yeol tells Ha-joon he can’t stop being with Yeon-doo but he can’t lose Ha-joon either.
Yeol eventually finds out that Ha-joon quit cheerleading not because of Yeon-doo but because his father ordered him to. He confronts Ha-joon’s father and asks him to stop abusing Ha-joon, telling him a parent who hits his child is not human.
The end of Sassy Go Go shows Yeol trying to solve the problem of him dating Yeon-doo and his father dating Yeon-doo’s mother.
Yeol is horrified and then angry when he first finds out his father is dating Yeon-doo’s mother. But their relationship improves, with his father admitting he mishandled his divorce and hurt Yeol and with Yeol accepting his dad’s relationship.
Yeol calls his mother asking to be transferred to his mother’s family register in the U.S. But there are no family registers in the US so Yeol then asks his mom to adopt him.

Do Yeol and Yeon-doo End Up Together?
Yeon-doo and Yeol end up together at the end of Sassy Go Go.
Yeon-doo and Yeol officially start dating in episode 11 of Sassy Go Go. However, their relationship quickly grows complicated when they find out their parents (Yeol’s dad and Yeon-doo’s mom) are dating.
The parents initially decide to break up but Sassy Go Go ends with both couples together and Yeol trying to figure out how to make it all work.

What Happened to Ha-joon?
In the penultimate episode of Sassy Go Go, Ha-joon’s father arrives for a surprise visit and berates Ha-joon for his falling grades.
Ha-joon is ordered by his father to quit the cheerleading team and if Ha-joon doesn’t, he will dismantle the team. Ha-joon pushes back asking his father to let the team compete at regionals in two weeks which leads to him getting beaten.
Ha-joon quits cheerleading and struggles with his decision and ends up hurting himself. In response, Ha-joon’s father slaps him and then locks him in his room at home.
But first, Ha-joon bravely confronts his father about his abusive behavior and shows him the scars from his self-harm.
Ha-joon escapes from his room to attend the competition when Yeol and Yeon-doo pull the fire alarm.
Ha-joon confesses how before he hated himself every time he got beaten but now he will no longer hate himself. He tells his father that he won’t be beaten anymore and walks away from him.
At the end of Sassy Go Go, Ha-joon has a restraining order against his father who is being charged with child abuse.

Who Does Ha-joon Ends Up With?
Ha-joon is single at the end of Sassy Go Go.
Although Yeon-doo doesn’t return his feelings, Ha-joon confesses to her (using gummy bears in the cutest love confession I’ve seen in a kdrama) and thanks her for being there for him and teaching him how to love.
What Happened to Soo Ah?
After being exposed for stealing the midterm and hurting Yeol and Yeon-doo, Soo-ah attempts suicide by walking into traffic but is pulled to safety by Dong-jae.
Because of all her scandals, Soo-ah’s mother wants to send her abroad but Soo-ah refuses and decides to return to Sevit High.
While Soo-ah was absent from school, the cheerleading team sent Soo-ah supportive messages which made her realize she supportive people in her life and does not have to live a life dictated by her mother.
Soo-ah isn’t entirely forgiven when she returns to school but she’s given a chance to earn the forgiveness of the team.
After the cheerleading team is disbanded and no longer able to compete in regionals, Soo-ah asks Yeon-doo why she isn’t trying to rally everyone to attend the competition secretly. She encourages her not to give up and even offers to help her convince the others.
At the end of Sassy Go Go, Soo-ah’s mother is under investigation for spec-related corruption after being thrown under the bus by the other moms.
Despite this, Soo-ah’s relationship with her mother has improved with Soo-ah sending her a video message to cheer her up and telling her she loves her.
Who Does Soo-ah End Up With?
At the end of Sassy Go Go, Soo-ah ends up with Dong-jae.
The two are shown drinking strawberry milk together after Dong-jae’s basketball game.
What Happened to Dong-jae?
Dong-jae overcomes his aversion to touch when he saves Soo-ah from committing suicide by grabbing her hand and pulling her back from being hit by a car. Dong-jae even hugs Soo-ah afterwards to comfort her.
The end of Sassy Go Go sees Dong-jae return to basketball and exchange high-fives with his teammates showing that he has completely overcome his phobia.
What Happened to Teacher Yang?
Teacher Yang supports the cheerleading team at the regional competition with Instructor Nam.
At the end of Sassy Go Go, Teacher Yang’s contract at Sevit High gets extended.
What Happened to Instructor Nam?
Principal Choi and Sevit High are under investigation for specs and the news goes viral. As a result, the cheerleading club is shut down by the Ministry and Instructor Nam is fired.
Despite being fired, Instructor Nam attends the regional competition and convinces the stubborn clerk to let the cheerleading team compete despite their entry being withdrawn by Sevit High. She cheers on the team as they perform.
At the end of Sassy Go Go, Instructor Nam is rehired to coach cheer at Sevit High.
Do Teacher Yang and Instructor Nam End Up Together?
Despite their chemistry, our favourite teacher and cheerleading instructor do not end up together.
What Happened to Principal Choi?
Sevit High’s principal is fired for creating the cheerleading team to inflate student’s specs.
What Happened to the Cheerleading Team?
The cheerleading team is disbanded and Instructor Nam is fired by the school after the Ministry investigation for spec-related corruption.
Despite the disbandment of their cheerleading team due to the spec scandal, the team decides to participate in the regional competition anyway.
At the competition, the team is intimidated by the other teams who outclass them. However, they perform their routine with big smiles and infectious energy.
The team finish last in the competition but they are happy and proud of their performance.
Sassy Go Go ends with the cheerleading team disbanding and returning to their old groups, Baek Ho and Real King, but remain close friends.
